The Perfect Belly
Ok as a mom to 5 kids I never had a beautiful belly like this one.

Third model portfolio shoot
This young man was kind enough to do a session with me. It was freezing out this morning and away we went to several locations to capture some images.

Our little Easter time
Well the morning did start a lot earlier than usual with my little girl bounding through the house with news of a visitor in the night.
Excitement throughout and chocolate faces abound.
After daddy came home from work we took a little trip to the forestry farm as a family.
A lot of other people had the same idea. The parking lot was packed.
We arrived 30 min before closing and all the animals were out looking for their supper.
It was funny to see how used to their routine they are. The tigers knew it was closing time as they tried to get the door open to warmth and good food.
They saw the truck going by before they went to their door and it was amazing to me how smart these guys are.
The ducks and geese were being led back in and my kids got to help along the way.
One of them led the way with great leadership while one was more cautious..
Then we had to stop and take a picture of an airplane flying by for my littlest one.

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter to everyone out there. I hear it is suppose to be Beautiful for Easter Sunday!!
Enjoy time spent with loved ones and family!
I took Katie out this afternoon just for pure selfish reasons of capturing stuff for me.
It was colder than I expected so it didn't last very long for us.
I also want to add that if there are any teens out there that are bored next week I do have a couple of slots still open if you are interested in modelling for my portfolio.

What can you expect from a session?
So you are thinking about getting some portraits done.
You have been looking at the various sites in Saskatoon.
You email or phone around to a couple and you here the price for a sitting fee...
Shock! It costs me that much just for you to take my picture??
Well I... well I... I could go to Walmart,Sears or Superstore for so much cheaper!!
When my older kids were younger I did go to Walmart before I got into photography.
But I found the last few times I went I would always go the day after I picked up the images and bring them back complaining These are out of focus!!
Have you ever taken a good look at your portraits from these said companies?? They are definately not sharp! And if your sweet pea had a cut or scratch on their face that you tried to hide from the camera it will still be there front and center.
I am sure most have heard the saying you get what you pay for... And you do.
A typical session at the local store goes something like this...
You get your little one all dressed up to go get their pictures done. Before you have probably even left the house they are whining that they want a snack and you give in just to keep them happy so they don't have that complete meltdown you know is coming if you don't LOL...
Oops they make a mess all over their face and a tiny bit on the chosen outfit.. Ugh
you arrive at the store only to discover uhoh you forgot the comb at home and their hair is a bit messy.
Then you sit and wait for your appt even though you arrived on time. You get your 15 min in the studio. You get to look at the computer screen and decide right then and there after the shot is this the one you choose for the cheap package??
The instant you say yes, they bring out all the "Neat" backgrounds and props and get your child to be really cute.
Then as soon as the session is over you are taken over to the computer to pick your poses. There is no coming back it is now or never... Decisions decisions...
Now a typical session with Forever Captured Photography goes kind of like this
We set up a date and time for me to come over to your house to do the session.WOW you don't even have to leave the comfort of your home and the security it holds for your child.
I arrive and spend a few moments talking to you the parent and the child getting to know the child a bit before I even start taking any pictures.
The baby or child may still get upset and need to be comforted. And that is fine! There is no set time for your session. If it takes 30 min to comfort a baby then so be it... I sit patiently and wait.
It won't cost you anymore because of it.
After the session I usually put a sneak peek of a couple of images up on this blog for you. Then in about 2 wks time I come over to your place again and we view the gallery together. NO Pressure!! I then leave the password for your gallery with you for you to share with whomever you would like and about a week later I contact you to see if you are ready to order. Then I come over again and review your order with you. In about a week to two weeks I have your images ready for you and then I bring them over to you and present them to you.
My session fee covers my time to come to you ,the time I spend with you and the many hours after I leave your home to edit those images to make them perfect for you. And yes that may mean removing that scratch on Junior's cheek on every image before it is shown to you.
I care a lot about quality. And presenting you with high quality beautiful images.
Many clients have a hard time choosing after they see their galleries as they are in love with so many of the shots we got.
I aim to get to the soul of a person when I take their picture. To get that special look that mom loves so much of her little boy. Or that special smile your little girl only does when she is really happy.
I have had people comment that my images have touched them in such a way that it brings tears to their eyes.
What is one of the first things that most people say they would save after their pets and children if the house was on fire...
Almost everyone answers their pictures. If pictures are that important to you should they not be of the highest quality??
I choose to print at a pro lab here in the city because I want the best for you the client. If you look around at most of the pros sites in the city our prices are around the same so when looking for a pro photographer it is about finding whose style suits you and your families needs the best. So when only the best will do please check around before you decide who will take your heirloom images for you.

Putting it out there
Weightloss, losing weight,taking the pounds off, diet, etc etc etc
At some point in everyones lives it comes to this time.
Well it is that time for me now. After a couple of years of photography a few pounds seemed to creep onto my body. Hmm how on earth did that happen? How could it happen to me???
Well let me see could it have been that computer that you sit in front of day after day and night after night??
But I thought about excercising, and I did think about eating better as I nibbled on a fry and sipped my cola....
Anyway it is now time to do something about it...
Did you know that if you faced the scale in different directions it gives a different reading.When it faces north I always weigh less and if you stand different ways you can way more or you can way less. If I put my ankles together it can take almost 5 lbs off lol.
So there you have it a morning in my life...

Thankful!
I just want to give thanks to all my clients. I have developed some awesome friends in this business.
Sometimes I fret when times are slow and wish it was busier but then I would not have time to sit down for a drink and chat with my clients. I really enjoy spending a few moments in their lives and getting to really know them.
So to all my clients Thankyou so much for choosing me at a time when you wanted some special moments captured. Thankyou for treating me like a friend. Thank you!!
